Love is Like Magic

scottish @ 13:13

Love is like magic
and it always will be,
For love still remains
life's sweet mystery.

Love works in ways
that are wondrous and strange
And there's nothing in life
that love cannot change!

Love can transform
the most commonplace
Into beauty and splendor
and sweetness and grace.

Love is unselfish,
understanding and kind,
For it sees with its heart
and not with its mind.

Love is the answer
that everyone seeks...
Love is the language
that every heart speaks.

Love can't be bought,
it is priceless and free,
Love, like pure magic,
is life's sweet mystery!

Be a Friend

scottish @ 19:20

Be a friend. You don't need money;
Just a disposition sunny;
Just the wish to help another
Get along some way or other;
Just a kindly hand extended
Out to one who's unbefriended;
Just the will to give or lend,
This will make you someone's friend.

Be a friend. You don't need glory.
Friendship is a simple story.
Pass by trifling errors blindly,
Gaze on honest effort kindly,
Cheer the youth who's bravely trying,
Pity him who's sadly sighing;
Just a little labor spend
On the duties of a friend.

Be a friend. The pay is bigger
(Though not written by a figure)
Than is earned by people clever
In what's merely self-endeavor.
You'll have friends instead of neighbors
For the profits of your labors;
You'll be richer in the end
Than a prince, if you're a friend.

Who Has Seen the Wind?

scottish @ 19:30

Who has seen the wind?
Neither I nor you.
But when the leaves hang trembling,
The wind is passing through.
Who has seen the wind?
Neither you nor I.
But when the trees bow down their heads,
The wind is passing by.

What I Love About You

scottish @ 12:46

I love the way you look at me,
Your eyes so bright and blue.
I love the way you kiss me,
Your lips so soft and smooth.

I love the way you make me so happy,
And the ways you show you care.
I love the way you say, "I Love You,"
And the way you're always there.

I love the way you touch me,
Always sending chills down my spine.
I love that you are with me,
And glad that you are mine.

A Special World

scottish @ 21:26

A special world for you and me
A special bond one cannot see
It wraps us up in its cocoon
And holds us fiercely in its womb.

Its fingers spread like fine spun gold
Gently nestling us to the fold
Like silken thread it holds us fast
Bonds like this are meant to last.

And though at times a thread may break
A new one forms in its wake
To bind us closer and keep us strong
In a special world, where we belong.

France and Scotland look for a pick me up rugby victory

scottish @ 13:46

PARIS (AFP) - France and Scotland go into their Six Nations clash here at the Stade de France on Saturday both seeking a welcome victory after bruising opening round defeats.

The French certainly played their part in a high quality and exciting 30-21 defeat to Ireland while the Scots went down 26-13 to Grand Slam holders Wales.

However, both will be expecting a better result this time round with particular pressure on France coach Marc Lievremont, who has at least to guide the French to a better placing than last year's third this time round.

The former France international back row forward was downcast after the Irish defeat but he could have taken comfort from phases of play that suggested the French were rediscovering their flair-filled rugby which had gone missing last year.

"We needed to mend certain things this week in terms of discipline and also finishing off our scoring opportunities," commented Lievremont.

"They are clearly things that did not come together against Ireland and I am now looking to this match (against Scotland) to see an improvement on both fronts."

Lievremont had opted for just four changes to the starting XV but he had to bring in Benoit Baby after Florian Fritz was suspended for gouging - disrupting to a certain extent his selection of five Toulouse backs, though, Baby should fit in as he used to play for them as well.

However, it is more his continuing faith in captain and lock Lionel Nallet that has upset the pundits as Lievremont dropped cult hero Sebastien Chabal from the second row instead of him after they were both outclassed by their Irish counterparts.

"At no moment did I even consider the idea of taking the captaincy away from Nallet," said Lievremont.

"It's not always the case that the captain is the outstanding player in any game, although he should not be the worst.

"That was far from being the case on Saturday (against the Irish) and I was happy with the way he played."

While Lievremont steered away from saying that defeat would be a disaster, veteran No 8 Imanol Harinordoquy was more blunt.

"We have spent an intense week, we have spoken with each other a lot," said the 28-year-old 52-times capped Biarritz player.

"We posed a lot of questions but at the end of the day what has been sorted out will only come out on Saturday.

"In any case I do not want to even countenance another defeat. We are not in the French team to lose matches."

Scotland coach Frank Hadden has had to cope with a long line of injuries after the Welsh defeat but at least that has forced his arm in selecting both the Evans brothers, who many had clamoured to be selected in the starting XV against Wales.

The Evanses will become the 20th set of brothers to play together for Scotland, with Thom on the wing and Max - at outside centre - making his first Six Nations start.

Hadden, though, was at pains to insist that the team would put up a better performance than they did against Wales, although, he had not been helped with losing two of his few world class scrummagers Nathan Hines and Euan Murray to injury prior to the match.

"We know the supporters demand and deserve better than the performance against Wales and they are determined to do that against France," said the former school teacher.

Don´t stop me now.

scottish @ 23:24

Tonight I'm gonna have myself a real good time
I feel alive and the world turning inside out Yeah!
And floating around in ecstasy
So don't stop me now don't stop me
'Cause I'm having a good time having a good time

I'm a shooting star leaping through the sky
Like a tiger defying the laws of gravity
I'm a racing car passing by like Lady Godiva
I'm gonna go go go
There's no stopping me

I'm burning through the sky Yeah!
Two hundred degrees
That's why they call me Mister Fahrenheit
I'm trav'ling at the speed of light
I wanna make a supersonic man out of you

Don't stop me now I'm having such a good time
I'm having a ball don't stop me now
If you wanna have a good time just give me a call
Don't stop me now ('cause I'm havin' a good time)
Don't stop me now (yes I'm havin' a good time)
I don't want to stop at all

I'm a rocket ship on my way to Mars
On a collision course
I am a satellite I'm out of control
I am a sex machine ready to reload
Like an atom bomb about to
Oh oh oh oh oh explode

I'm burning through the sky Yeah!
Two hundred degrees
That's why they call me Mister Fahrenheit
I'm trav'ling at the speed of light
I wanna make a supersonic woman of you

Don't stop me don't stop me
Don't stop me hey hey hey!
Don't stop me don't stop me ooh ooh ooh (I like it)
Don't stop me don't stop me
Have a good time good time
Don't stop me don't stop me Ah

I'm burning through the sky Yeah!
Two hundred degrees
That's why they call me Mister Fahrenheit
I'm trav'ling at the speed of light
I wanna make a supersonic man out of you

Don't stop me now I'm having such a good time
I'm having a ball don't stop me now
If you wanna have a good time just give me a call
Don't stop me now ('cause I'm havin' a good time)
Don't stop me now (yes I'm havin' a good time)
I don't want to stop at all.

I'm Not Lonely

scottish @ 12:33

i'm not lonely
sleeping all alone

you think i'm scared
but i'm a big girl
i don't cry
or anything

i have a great
big bed
to roll around
in and lots of space
and idon't dream
bad dreams
like i used
to have that you
were leaving me
anymore

now that you're gone
i don't dream
and no matter
what you think
i'm not lonely
sleeping
all alone
